Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a dynamic and growing team as a Senior Accountant! We're looking for a finance professional with experience in financial services or loan-related accounting who's ready to take on a key role in managing full-cycle accounting operations.

You'll ensure accuracy in reporting, support process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams—all while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work setup.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage full-cycle accounting and financial reporting under ASPE
  • Exposure to North American companies or market is a plus
  • Handle international loan-related transactions, reconciliations, and monthly reports
  • Oversee AR/AP, invoicing, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and interim financial statements
  • Work with tools like Great Plains Software, MS Dynamics GP, QuickBooks Online (QBO), CaseWare, and Excel

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in financial services or lending
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian accounting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in QBO and CaseWare
  • Basic knowledge of Great Plains (MS Dynamics GP); experience transitioning from one accounting software to another is a strong advantage
  • End-to-end accounting experience is highly encouraged, as this will be part of the core responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and an effective communicator
  • Able to work 7 AM – 4 PM Vancouver time
  • Remote work arrangement with seasonal onsite reporting: minimum of four (4) times per month or when needed only.
