Philippines – Asiatel, the first Filipino-founded business process outsourcing firm to be listed on Canada’s TSX Venture Exchange, plans to expand its Manila operations in the next two years, as cited by BusinessWorld in a news report.
“One of the things that we want to have is build satellite offices around Metro Manila,” said Asiatel Outsourcing Chief Executive Jasjit Singh Anand.
The listing is expected to aid Asiatel’s plans to shift to ‘higher-value’ knowledge process outsourcing. This includes engineering support, ESG compliance, accounting, software-as-a-service deployment, and artificial intelligence-assisted service delivery.
Anand said that they wanted to add niche services that are ‘basically taking the BPO business forward’.
