Philippine Consul General and Trade Commissioner joined Asiatel as Company highlights growing Canada– Philippines presence and next stage of international expansion
September 22, 2026, Vancouver, BC – Asiatel Outsourcing Inc. (“Asiatel”, or the “Company”) (TSXV: ATOI), a Philippine-founded Business Process Outsourcing (“BPO”) and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (“KPO”) company, is pleased to announce that senior management participated in a Market Close Ceremony at the TMX Market Centre in Toronto on September 22, 2026, marking the Company’s recent listing on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Asiatel Chairman Shafi Aboobaker and Chief Executive Officer Jasjit Singh Anand (“Andy”) was joined by the Honourable Kristine Leilani Salle, Consul General of the Philippines in Toronto, and Mario Tani, Trade Commissioner with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Toronto, together with members of the Canadian investment community, shareholders, directors, advisers and other invited guests.
The ceremony follows Asiatel’s commencement of trading on the TSX Venture Exchange on July 14, 2026, and represents another milestone in the Company’s evolution from a privately held Philippine outsourcing business into a Canadian-listed international growth company.
Consul General Salle congratulated Asiatel Outsourcing for bringing pride to the Philippines. “Your listing is a testament to the global competitiveness, resilience and ingenuity of our IT-BPM industry. Thank you for setting an example of how Philippine companies in the IT-BPM sector can tap into Canada’s capital markets to access the resources needed to scale, innovate, and drive higher value services. It also reflects the alignment and complementarity between the Philippines and Canada.”
Asiatel in the Canadian Capital Markets
Founded in Manila in 2006, Asiatel has grown over nearly two decades into an international outsourcing company employing approximately 500 people in the Philippines and serving clients across eight countries. The Company is now building beyond its traditional BPO foundation through higher-value KPO services and digital and AI-enabled capabilities.
Asiatel views its TSXV listing as more than a corporate milestone. The Company believes its Canadian public-market presence provides a platform to increase international visibility, broaden access to capital, support future strategic growth initiatives and strengthen its commercial presence in North America.
The Toronto ceremony took place amid ongoing development in economic and commercial ties between Canada, the Philippines, and the broader ASEAN region, alongside Asiatel’s international growth strategies.
Jasjit Singh Anand (“Andy”), Chief Executive Officer of Asiatel, commented, “Our TSXV listing represents the beginning of a new chapter for Asiatel. We have spent nearly two decades building the business in the Philippines, and we have recently entered the Canadian public markets, providing a new platform for the Company’s continued development.”
“Now our focus is on building from that foundation. Our growth initiatives include expanding our North American client base, developing higher-value KPO and AI-enabled services, and increasing our engagement with the Canadian market as business ties between Canada and the Philippines continue to develop.”
Connecting Canada and the Philippines
Representatives from the Philippine government and trade community also participated in the ceremony, reflecting the Company’s ongoing engagement across the Philippines and Canada.This supports Asiatel’s strategy of connecting North American businesses with the talent, expertise, and increasingly technology-enabled capabilities in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.
Shafi Aboobaker, Chairman of Asiatel, states, “The Market Close Ceremony was an opportunity to recognize what our team has accomplished, but our focus is firmly on what comes next. We have built an established and growing operating business in the Philippines and now have the opportunity to combine that foundation with greater access to North American customers, technology, strategic opportunities and Canadian capital markets.”
“Having the Philippine Consul General and Trade Commissioner join us in Toronto made the occasion particularly meaningful. Asiatel operates across the Philippines and Canada, with its operating base in the Philippines and its listing on the TSX Venture Exchange. The Company’s strategy is focused on disciplined growth and long-term value creation for shareholders.”
Asiatel’s Next Stage of Growth
Asiatel’s strategy is focused on expanding the scale, geographic reach and value of its services through:
- North American Expansion – growing Canadian and broader North American business-development activities;
- Higher-Value Services – expanding KPO capabilities and AI-enabled automation and digital solutions;
- Client Diversification – broadening the Company’s international customer base; and
- Strategic Growth – evaluating partnerships and acquisition opportunities that could expand Asiatel’s capabilities and geographic footprint.
